OUTREACH
To support the East Haven Food Pantry, we collect non-perishable food items year-round. The children collect items on Sunday morning before worship where parishioners are asked to place their donations in the red wagon. - During the week, the wagon is located in the Main Street foyer. The children also collect specific items at the request of the Food Pantry to help fill the Thanksgiving baskets for needy families in our town.
Thank you to all who donated cake mixes and frosting for the East Haven Food Pantry for the Thansgiving baskets.
We also collect donations for GIVE2THETROOPS, an organization dedicated to heping our armed forces both here and abroad. A list of requested items is posted in the gym. Please see Ruth Buechele for any questions.
Our Missions Board requests items at different times of the year to help needy children in our town through the East Haven Social Services Dept. They fill Easter baskets, backpacks in the fall, and sponsor a Christmas Giving Tree. Until December 5th, The Board is collecting new or gently used winter coats and accessories for Covenant to Care - the collection box is located in the church library.
Thank you to all who donated winter items for our project.
The Sunday school children, under the direction of our Christian Educator, create greeting cards at different times of the year for our homebound parishioners, the Children's Home in Cromwell, and other special occasions.
All help the church receives (whether it be in the form of donations, funds, or time) to aid our various programs is very much appreciated!
